My name is Lecia Balian and I am a children's book illustrator.
As a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, my illustrations reflect my love for Wisconsin's natural beauty as much as possible. Being raised in a family of artists, I literally grew up watching my mother, Lorna Balian, illustrate children's books. Following in her footsteps is an honor that brings me great joy. I attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, however, most everything I know about art and design I learned from my parents and my children.
